Episode 1: Straight Path Home

"Yes, please. walk with me until I get close to my home. Then you can go on your way."

You and your friends make your way on Yaken Straight. They do not notice your growing fear, as they talk about the young boys in their formation. You pass several different shops, caravans, and folks walking in the streets. Again, those who know you and your family wish their blessings a long the way. 

You walk further for many minutes until your eyes fall upon another stranger in black, leaning on a wooden post. You drop some coins to pretend that you are looking behind your companions.  You notice at a distance another stranger in black, walking behind you and your friends. You stand, continuing your journey towards your home. 

"Friends... we are being followed", you say. Atruii turns to you, and then decides to look around. You stop her, saying "No, do not look. Just follow my lead. We are going to lose them in an alley." You smile to break the tension, and say: "Why don't we go for a little jog." As you start off, the others follow. 

You pass the second stranger, and say, "Let us run..." 

All of you begin to run fast. You notice that the second stranger is no longer leaning on the wooden post. Your formation has prepared you for long runs in case you are in the desert roads and cannot find one to provide a ride to the city. You run so fast, moving around and through the busy street. Suddenly you find an alley and you yell "Follow me!"

You make your way through the alley when suddenly the third stranger stands at the middle of the alley. You turn to your friends and look to find a way to escape. You walk backwards and tell your friends "Run back to Yaken", but you are cut off by the two strangers. 

You hear footsteps behind you, "The daughter of Enop is now ours", says the dark strange. 

"What of the others?" Says one of the strangers blocking the alley way from your escape."

"Take them as well. We will get the Stone from Enop using his daughter as ransom."

They grab you and your friends, covering your mouth. Atruii tries to fight back and is knocked to the ground. She does not get up. 

The Stranger in black walks up to you and says, "You will be silent or die in this alley. No one will know." He looks to his companions and says, "Tie them up, and put them in the caravan."
